Living Like the Saints at St Kentigern’s
At St Kentigern’s, we help children learn about the lives of the saints and how their examples can guide us in everyday life.
“The Saints were not superhuman. They were people who loved God in their hearts, and who shared this joy with others.” – Pope Francis
Each class has a dedicated Saint as a reminder that we are all called to live holy lives.
How We Celebrate Our Saints
- Learn: The Children explore their class saint’s life and why they are a role model during their Patron Saints Feast Day and during transition day into their new class.
- Reflect: Children think about how they can grow closer to Christ through the saint’s example.
- Celebrate: On their saint’s feast day, classes led a Celebration of the Word and pray for their saint’s intercession.
By the time pupils leave St Kentigern’s, they have learned about many saints and carry with them guidance on how to make the world a better place.
